Droid razr or galaxy nexus prime?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knew of any websites, or knew which phone was rated better. I know the galaxy hasn't come out yet, but if anyone knows of anything it would be much appreciated.

Thanks!Droid razr or galaxy nexus prime?
I know many websites and people can't stop talking about the Galaxy Nexus, and I'm one of them. I wouldn't go by what websites rate these 2 devices, because many of the reviews are by a single person; they have their opinion that is different from yours. I'm most likely going to purchase the Droid RAZR in the upcoming few days... There is still a decent change I'll get the Galaxy Nexus.

ISSUES:

I have heard about some issues with the Galaxy Nexus. Sometimes, the phone will ship with a yellow tinted screen, or the HTML5 "flash player" is broken. The only issue I could find with the Droid RAZR was that one phone shipped with a broken screen, as Motorola didn't properly package that single device.

So far, the Galaxy Nsxus seems to require fixes from Google, and Samsung.

YOUR PREFERENCES:

Many people out there don not like the MotoBlur look, and if you are one of those people, you're in luck. The Droid RAZR doesn't have MotoBlur; it has a new Moto skin that looks sophisticated and functions fast and smooth. The Galaxy Nexus is made by Samsung without their well-known "TouchWiz" UI. The Galaxy Nexus is a pure Google/Android device. This means it will get Android updates before other devices, and it won't have unwanted user-interface junk (possibly some Verizon bloatware though).

CAMERA:

The camera isn't quite a selling point for many people, but it can break the deal for some. The Droid RAZR has issues taking pictures in low light situations. It does have an 8MP camera, but the Galaxy Nexus' 5MP camera has better sensors. The shots it can take are breath-taking, as is its 1080p HD video capture (I'll put a link below).

The Galaxy Nexus pulls through with a better camera.

EXTRAS:

The Galaxy Nexus has just 3 software buttons (as will upcoming ICS phones), while the RAZR has 4, and they won't all be function-able. The left most key on the G-Nexus brings up a list of your "open and in-use" apps. That key will help in battery life saving, and keeping your phone clean. If the Droid RAZR gets this with the ICS update, the Galaxy Nexus really has nothing over the RAZR except for it's full-HD screen, as both are Super-AMOLED. The RAZR has Smart Actions which could keep it running for over a day without charging. It also adds options to make your experience with the phone more enjoyable and optimized for your use. You could add a "trigger", so when you plug in your ear-buds, the RAZR automatically opens Pandora (or music player). There are so many different combinations you could create.

- - - - -

The Galaxy Nexus really only has ICS and a beautiful screen. The RAZR has a magnificent screen as well (qHD, still looks amazing) and will get an Android 4.0 update in early 2012. I think the RAZR wins in the "extras" category with Smart Actions.

The Galaxy Nexus looks great, and all of the news revolves around it. The RAZR is sleek, slim, and built to withstand quite the beating. They have the same processors, but so far, the RAZR runs with more of a snappy look. I might actually get the RAZR because of its materials, and Smart Actions. It's going to be a tough choice for you. All you need to know:

Samsung Galaxy Nexus - ICS, HD screen, 3 new software keys

Motorola Droid RAZR - (ICS soon) qHD screen, Smart Actions, quality design

I have felt both phones in my hand; yes I've held the Galaxy Nexus. Many reviewers claim the RAZR feels awkward in the hand, but really, the G-Nexus does. Not only because it's too large, but also because of the materials (...plastic...) they built it out of. The RAZR fits perfectly into my hand and the feel of the Kevlar-woven back is awesome. The RAZR's Gorilla Glass will also help with any drops, as will its nano-coating of the entire device for spills of liquid. And about what someone said with not being able to remove the battery on the RAZR. I know when phones freeze, rip out the battery. The Droid RAZR actually won't freeze as often as the Galaxy Nexus (because of Samsung's undeveloped ICS use). If the RAZR does, you just hold the power button and up-volume button (I believe).

Hope I could help you, and if you need any more information, contact me at matt13morgan@yahoo.com
I can't give you a specific site, but I have been researching this and have 3 major reasons I want the nexus over the razr. First, the razr does not have a removable battery. The battery being the first thing to wear out and get replaced on my droid, that alone was almost a deal breaker. Second, the razor resolution is only 960x540. Several reviews I read said that is to low and causes a poor image.

Finally, the razr does not have the nfc chip. I don't know if that will be a big deal or not, but since I plan to keep my next phone for a minimum of two years, I think I'd like to have it just in case.Droid razr or galaxy nexus prime?
Hi,

The Verge has easily the best video review of the Nexus out on the Web:

Here is the written review.

I've debated between the two as well. One of the most important things when considering an Android phone these days is software updates. Since Google releases new updates at a far faster rate than other mobile platforms (about every 6 months). You need your phone to get the updates in a timely manner. Since the Nexus is the phone that Google uses to develop the software, it is the first phone to be updated even monthly! So if you have bugs they are fixed right away. Plus it will have the new user interface now, not in a guessing game of a few months...

Another reason I'll be getting the phone is the screen, from all accounts it is far superior to the Razr. I also want a phone with NFC because I truly believe our smartphones will be our wallets someday. Removeable battery, ICS, better screen, constant updates, all apps are written for the Nexus and not the Razr so no bugginess...

I think its a no brainer...Nexus...Droid razr or galaxy nexus prime?
