No, it's the next Google Experience phone (first was Nexus One, second was Nexus S). This means it will run stock Android (Ice Cream Sandwich this time) with no custom UI's like Samsung's Touchwiz UI that's on their Galaxy S II. Many people feel this is better as there's no bloatware and they tend to run faster because they're not bogged down with extra customizations.



The Galaxy Nexus or Nexus Prime is going to be announced on October 11th, and rumors point to an October or November release.

Nope. It's a completely different phone. Just like the Nexus One and Nexus S. The Nexus phones are phones that runs on pure stock Android with the true Google experience (since they are the ones who send out the updates and are the one who supports it). It's getting announced next week on October 11th. No one knows the release date yet.
